Position Overview
The Paraplanner & Operations Associate plays a dual role within the firm:
Financial Planning Support – Assisting advisors in preparing and maintaining financial plans, research, and client deliverables.
Operational Support – Helping streamline workflows, manage systems, and support back-office processes to enhance efficiency and client service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both analytical planning work and improving processes behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Client Support
Prepare and update financial plans using planning software; MoneyGuidePro, a plus.)
Gather and analyze client data (income, expenses, investments, insurance, estate documents)
Run retirement projections, tax scenarios, and cash flow analyses
Prepare client meeting materials and presentation decks
Document meeting notes and track follow-up items
Conduct investment research and assist with portfolio implementation
Support account opening, transfers, and paperwork processing
Assist with rebalancing and trading preparation (as applicable)
Operations & Process Management
Maintain and optimize CRM workflows
Ensure client data integrity and compliance documentation
Support development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Track and manage internal project timelines
Coordinate with custodians and third-party providers
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and client experience
Assist with compliance tracking and audit preparation
Help implement and integrate technology solutions
Job requirements
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
1–3+ years experience in a financial advisory or wealth management firm
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
Experience with financial planning software and CRM systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
CFP® candidate or interest in pursuing CFP® designation
Experience working with RIAs or independent advisory firms
Knowledge of custodial platforms (Schwab, Fidelity, etc.)
