Job description

Senior Client Service Associate

Location: Farmington, Connecticut
Employment Type: Full‑time

About Us

We are an established, independently owned wealth management practice that works closely with a select group of long‑term clients. Our team is intentionally structured to remain collaborative, efficient, and highly personal. There are no layers of management or departmental handoffs—each team member plays a meaningful role in delivering consistent, high‑quality client service.

This is a professional, relationship‑driven environment that values trust, accountability, attention to detail, and long‑term continuity for both clients and employees.

Why This Role Is Important

In a practice our size, the Client Service Associate is central to the client experience and daily operations. This role is designed for an experienced professional who understands the cadence of a wealth management office and is comfortable managing responsibilities independently.

You will be a steady, familiar point of contact for clients and a trusted operational partner to the advisor. This is a long‑term role for someone who takes pride in client service excellence and values being an integral part of a closely connected team.

What You’ll Do

Client Service & Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client service needs

  • Communicate with clients in a professional, thoughtful, and reassuring manner

  • Coordinate client meetings, prepare materials, and ensure follow‑through

  • Proactively manage service requests and anticipate client needs

Operations & Custodial Support

  • Independently manage account openings, maintenance, transfers, and paperwork

  • Work within Charles Schwab custodial systems to process transactions and resolve issues

  • Ensure accuracy, organization, and compliance across all client records

  • Partner directly with the advisor to keep daily operations running smoothly

(Schwab experience preferred but not required with comparable custodial experience.)

Practice Support

  • Maintain accurate CRM data

  • Track service items and support consistent workflows

  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and client experience

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually (based on experience), including incentive compensation/bonus opportunities

Benefits may include:

  • Paid time off and paid holidays

  • Retirement plan with employer contribution

  • Health benefits

  • A respectful, low‑turnover professional environment

Equal Opportunity Employer

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to providing an inclusive and respectful workplace.

Job requirements

Who We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services client service or operations

  • Comfortable working independently with minimal training or supervision

  • Experience with custodial platforms; Schwab familiarity a plus

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Professional communicator who values long‑term client relationships

  • Seeking stability and continuity in a career client service role

(This role is best suited for someone committed to a long‑term Client Service Associate position rather than an advisor career path.)
